After transitioning into construction management, Marc led complex redevelopment projects in remote environments where safety systems had to work in practice, not just on paper.
Marc went on to become General Manager of a mid-sized civil construction business, responsible for implementing ISO-aligned safety systems, managing high-risk work, and embedding practical safety processes across multiple crews and projects — including direct responsibility for AHA development, review, and sign-off across a wide range of construction activities.
Years of preparing, reviewing, and defending safety documentation highlighted a recurring problem: many AHAs were either overly generic, disconnected from site realities, or unnecessarily complex.
